This facility was originally constructed as a green field site in 1999. The Elizabethtown, KY plant opened with 42,000 square feet of production space and two tube mills. In May of 2006 an expansion was completed which more than doubled the size of the plant to 88,000 square feet with a total of 5 mills.
In August 2007 Samuel Manu-Tech acquired this division which now operates within the Associated Tube Group under the name Associated Tube USA Inc.
Two additional mills were brought on-line in late 2008 expanding the product range with smaller diameters.
ATU produces a wide range of stainless steel tubing products including: LaserTube SST for sanitary, beverage, food and dairy applications; LaserTube UHP for the pharmaceutical and semiconductor markets and LaserTube GP, a general purpose stainless steel tubing, for heat exchangers and mechanical applications. This facility offers the widest range of laser welded sizes in the market today.
The ATU facility in Elizabethtown is considered one of the most modern stainless tube mills in North America, manufacturing high-quality stainless tubing for the most demanding applications. ATU manufactures stainless tubing in size ranges from .25” – 4” and the facility is both ISO 9001-9002 and 3A certified.
